Rosalía Mera, the richest Spanish woman dies at the age of 69 from a stroke


Rosalia Mera was Amacio Ortega’s ex-wife. She die when being on vacations in Menorca Island at the age of 69. Rosalia was the co-founded of Inditex a Spanish conglomerate that owns Zara, Massimo Dutti, Pull and Bear, Bershka, Stradivarius and several other brands.

Rosalia was born in A Coruña where she spent most of her life. After she had the stroke in Menorca, she was moved in a medical plane to a private clinic in A Coruña where she would die several hours later.

She was place by Forbes at the 66th position of the richest people on earth. Rosalia Mera worth 4,700 million of € or about $6.1 billion with approximately 7% of Inditex. And 5% of a Spanish pharmaceutical company, Zeltia.
